Fees The fee for a nine-session class is $335, which includes $25 for a BirthWorks participant binder full of valuable information. The fee covers the cost for the pregnant woman and anyone she chooses to take the class with her: partner, husband, family member, friend. You are welcome to bring more than one birth companion to class. (The ninth session is the post-birth reunion class, held two months after the last baby is born). The fee for the weekend intensive is $255. The fee for private teaching is $75 hour. I generally suggest 3 2-hour classes (6 hours total--$450) for first-time parents and 2 2.5-hour sessions for second-time-around-parents (5 hours total--$375). My time for private teaching is very limited (Thursday nights, mostly), but I will try to work with you to schedule something if at all possible. I am happy to provide a certificate of completion if your health insurance company reimburses for childbirth education classes. Location Classes are held at my home in the Palisades section of Northwest Washington. There is ample street parking. (The Palisades is located west of Georgetown). While I am not Metro accessible, the D6 bus that runs from Union Station through downtown Washington and Georgetown stops very close to the house. If you live in northern Virginia, you could take either the Chain Bridge or Key Bridge to get to my neighborhood. If you live in Maryland, it is quite easy to get to my house from the Beltway or from Military Road/Nebraska Avenue. Upon registration, I will send driving or bus directions.
